Conditions of Entry at St Ives Sports Centre

To ensure a pleasant and secure environment for all our members and guests, please take a moment to review our venue conditions of entry. By entering St Ives Indoor Sports Centre each patron agrees to the following terms and conditions of entry.

Our Venue

  1. Please respect the rights of others and our staff.
  2. Management reserves the right to refuse entry, or remove guests from the centre who do not abide by the rules of the centre
  3. Children under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an adult at all times while in the centre.
  4. Except as permitted under the Companion Animals Act, animals are not permitted to enter into St Ives Sports Centre.
  5. Please wear suitable attire, closed shoes, and always carry a sweat towel and drink bottle.
  6. Shoes with black or dark soles that might leave scuff marks on the court surface are often prohibited. 
  7. Illegal, immoral, offensive or dangerous conduct will not be tolerated in the centre.
  8. The playing of music requires Management Approval. Please consider others when playing music and keep to a respectful volume. Offensive music is not permitted.
  9.  No food is to be consumed on the sports courts.
  10. No glass is permitted on the courts.
  11. Smoking and e-cigarettes are not permitted within any indoor or outdoor areas. Smoking is also not permitted outside, within 10 metres of the building.
  12. The consumption alcohol or drugs at the centre or visiting the centre while intoxicated or under the influence is prohibited.
  13. Gambling is prohibited in this centre.
  14. The use of mobile phones and cameras is prohibited in or near all toilets and changerooms.
  15. Any sexual harassment or innuendo will result in immediate cessation of your right to access or remain in the centre.
  16. Medical Conditions: If you have any disease, illness, injury, or medical condition, it is recommended you speak with your GP or staff prior to using our facilities.
  17. Waiver and Release of Liability: Please acknowledge that when you are on the premises, both your property and person shall be at your own risk and shall not hold the centre or its employees liable for any personal injury or loss of property which may arise from any cause.
  18. Accessing school grounds is prohibited unless in the case of an emergency.
  19. All person attending the facility must depart within 30 minutes of its closure.
  20. Please observe all signage within the centre and follow the instructions from staff.
